A French tale tells about a gnome, living around the mines of Val d'Argent. Flowers symbolise his good reign.
The gnome asks the hand of a miner's daughter, but she refuses. The gnome knocks the walls of the mines. He is disappointed and closes the mines. The gnome brings a silver rose to the miner's daughter. The closed silver rose tells about bad times to come. But when the silver rose opens...
One day the gnome will reopen the mines.
